Pheobe Chow Shares Her Voice Acting Career and Behind-the-Scenes Stories
Many people think voice actors simply "speak out their voices", but in reality, true voice acting is acting with your voice.This time, we were fortunate to invite Pheobe Chow, a renowned voice acting director and producer from Hong Kong, to Oneworld Hanxin College to share her voice acting career and behind-the-scenes stories with the students.
In her sharing, she mentioned:
Voice actors are actually "actors who perform with their voices."
Every character requires different emotional expressions.
What truly moves people is the emotion in their voice.
When the character is happy, you must be genuinely happy;
When the character is angry, you must be genuinely angry;
When the character cries, your voice must also convey emotion.
Because—a voice without emotion is just a voice.
She also shared a thought-provoking question: Can AI replace voice actors?
In the AI era, machines may be able to imitate voices,
but what they cannot replicate is—
emotion, soul, genuine feeling.
Whether it's voice acting, hosting, acting, or singing,
as long as it's a performing art, emotion is always the most important.
Many thanks to Pheobe Chow for sharing, which allowed the students to rediscover the true charm behind voice performance.
